AVP - Marketing (Education Industry)

In this role, you would primarily be responsible for contributing to the university’s revenue and profits in addition to determining plans that affect the university’s bottom line. You are expected to work on brand strategy, designing marketing campaigns that connect with customers, performing research on consumer tendencies as well as conducting market testing. 

You will be handling a team and expectations within this job call for an individual who will be innovating business methods conducive to new and inventive ways of doing things for increasing organisational efficiency and business productivity. 

Key Responsibilities


• Lead the thinking on overall strategy, business model, brand planning and budget management across the various geographies and categories.
• Spark new and exciting ideas for all the UG and PG Programs.
• Devise strategy for both Domestic and International student’s acquisition.
• Designing, planning and executing effective marketing campaigns in line with the plan & determining and implementing metrics to measure campaign effectiveness.
• Building brand awareness and generating innovative ideas to promote the brand/product.
• Creating content strategies based on the business objectives, category focus and audience segments through all channels (online/offline/social)
• Designing and coordinating promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press etc.)
• Provide on-going support and direction for sales and market development staff to identify, qualify, develop and maintain business relationships with targeted markets. Devise a long-range plan for sales growth enhancements through lead generation.
• Building a high performing marketing team and ensuring effective coordination with other teams.
• Managing and reviewing the marketing budget.
• Keep an eye on market trends & competitor strategies.
• Consistently work with peers towards the overall business objectives and ensure a smooth experience.
• Should be open for Domestic and International travel.


Key Requirements


• Have a degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Have prior experience in a similar role.
• Have good knowledge across all marketing functions, including brand marketing, PR, content management, digital marketing & performance marketing.
• Have excellent written & verbal communication skills and are comfortable dealing with the media.
• Adept at building relationships and liaising with multiple stakeholders and thrive in matrix environments.
• A strong leader, who has built, scaled and led high performing marketing teams.
