Retail Sales Associate/ Sr. Associate

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will assist customers in finding products, provide excellent customer service, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
You will be responsible for maintaining store displays, processing transactions, and helping to achieve sales targets. If you're friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working with customers, this role is a great fit for you!
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Assistance & Sales
o Greet customers and offer assistance in product selection, ensuring a personalized shopping experience.
o Identify customer needs and recommend products based on preferences.
o Demonstrate knowledge of the products to educate customers on features, benefits, and uses.
o Promote and upsell products to meet and exceed individual and store sales targets.
2. Customer Service & Relationship Management
o Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries and resolving issues or complaints promptly.
o Build rapport with customers, ensuring repeat business and loyalty.
o Ensure customers have a positive and engaging experience in-store.
3. Store Operations & Merchandising
o Maintain store appearance by organizing shelves, displays, and ensuring products are well-stocked.
o Assist with product inventory, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising.
o Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
4. Sales Transactions & Cash Handling
o Handle cash, card, and digital payments, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
o Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
o Maintain an accurate cash register and balance at the end of the shift.
5. Product Knowledge & Training
o Stay updated on the latest product offerings, promotions, and industry trends.
o Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
o Provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends to management.
6. Sales Reporting & Targets
o Keep track of personal sales performance and strive to meet/exceed sales targets.
o Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures to store management.
o Participate in sales meetings and share insights to improve store performance.
Education & Experience
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 1-6 years of experience in retail sales or customer service.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with the ability to understand and meet customer needs.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
• Knowledge of sales techniques, upselling, and cross-selling strategies.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management.
